Kickboxing for beginners in Zurich – key facts
- Class times: Tuesday and Thursday, 18:00–19:00. Women can also join a women-only group on Wednesday and Friday, 18:00–19:00.
- No experience needed: most of our members had no martial arts experience before they started. Sparring is optional.
- Trial class: your first class is free and without obligation. Register briefly and train the full hour with the group.
- What to bring: comfortable sportswear, a water bottle and a small towel. We train barefoot on the mat; you don’t need gloves to start.
- Location: Wehntalerstrasse 123, 8057 Zurich (District 6, Kreis 6), Brunnenhof stop (lines 32 and 50).
- Cost: CHF 1200 per year for one discipline or CHF 1600 for the flat rate with kickboxing and BJJ, 12-month term, one-time joining fee CHF 150.
- Head of the academy: Alexander Weber, black belt and multiple-time German champion (ADCC, IBJJF, NAGA, AJP).
Kickboxing is the ultimate martial arts & fitness class in which the body is challenged on all levels, such as endurance, strength, speed, dynamics, coordination, agility and body tone. A variety of exercises from different martial arts such as boxing and Muay Thai are combined with fitness and sports programs making kickboxing truly unique!
